Pointing styles - adult dogs

In the dog world, seeing a Vizsla on point doing what's been bred to do is such a thrill.  There's nothing I can do to train a dog to point,  This comes naturally or innately.  Here are some photos of a number of our adult dogs pointing.  In some of these photos they are pointing game, in others they are honoring another dog on point so the intensity of the tail sometimes indicate whether they are pointing real game or not!

Lola turns 10!

Today I visited Lola (Best Puppy in Group CH Varazs Vidam Lolamae) born June 13, 2002.  It's been several years since I last saw her even thought she doesn't live very far away - I can't believe how time flies.  Lola celebrated her 10th birthday this month.  She is as pretty and as sweet as ever - one of the nicest and prettiest Vizsla puppies we've every produced.  Lola has her mother Tasha's eyes and head.  Happy Birthday Lola!!

Mother's Day

In addition to honoring two-legged mothers on this special Mother's Day, I want to pay tribute to our four-legged mothers (or dams as they are referred to in the doggie world).  All of these female Vizslas, owned and/or bred by Varazs Perm. Reg'd Vizslas, were wonderful mothers to their puppies, which is such an important contribution to the offspring's temperament and behaviour as future adult dogs. 

Here's to you: Nekah, Abby, Tasha, Nova and Miska!!  Thank you for being such wonderful dams to your whelps and for producing such beautiful and wonderfully talented offspring. (Notice that each of these female Vizslas is titled at both ends of their names which means they meet and/or exceed the breed standard and are versatile and talented in performance events.)

Tasha-Charlie litter turns 7

Happy 7th Birthday to our Tasha-Charlie litter (Milo, Kati, Lola) born June 13, 2002.

One of the puppies, Milo, celebrated his 7th birthday by earning his 7th title since January of this year! His human, Corrine Sellars, wrote me the following:

"In honour of Nova, Milo earned High in Class with a 95 in Excellent then Q'd in [Rally] Advanced to complete his RAE [Rally Advanced-Excellent title]. March 7th to June 13th = 29 consecutive CKC Rally Qs for 4 titles! Reached "our" goal (set in January) of completing 7 new titles by Milo's 7th Birthday.

Corrine will soon run out of room in her house for all of Milo's ribbons and rosettes! What an incredible birthday!
