Paul Newman

I just learned of Paul Newman's death tonight and am very saddened. He was such an icon. One tends to think that people like this will live forever. I loved him in so many of his films, always admired how enduring his marriage to Joanne Woodward was, and respected him for his charity work and for shunning the glitz and shallowness of Hollywood. Sally Field said of him, "Sometimes God makes perfect people and Paul Newman was one of them." Enough said.
