The other morning I received a telephone call from Eileen Wilkes, owner of CH Gardenway Celtic Breeze, or "Bree" as she was known, to tell me that Bree had crossed the
Rainbow Bridge on Thursday, September 15th, 2011.
Bree who had turned 14 in August, was dam to my beloved
Nova (CH Ferngold Varazs Innovation Can/Am CD FDJ, JH, Am/Can RA, Am RE, Am RAE, CGN, and the maternal grandmother to 18 of Nova's kids from two litters, including my
Miska as well as great-grandmother to 12 of Miska's puppies (Miska-Ozzie litter born June 2008 and Miska-Brick litter born May 2011) and 11 puppies out of
Shandy, another of Nova's kids.
Fortunately I had the opportunity to see Bree a very short time agao - at the end of July when I visited Eileen at her cottage. Eileen knew I always delighted in seeing Bree. who was such a sweet and loving Vizsla.
RIP Bree and I hope you gave Nova a big kiss from me when you crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.

Bree was a lovely, regal and sweet Vizsla & it was a privilege to know her. Sorry to hear she's gone.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about Bree's passing Sylvia. I met Eileen at a dog show. I'm sure Bree will be greatly missed. Hopefully she has passed Rainbow Bridge and is lounging peacefully in one of Eileen's beautiful Bowser beds.

Hi Leslie, thanks for the heartfelt comment. I was at the same show when you two met - I think I introduced you!! Bree was a very sweet girl and she is missed. I loved seeing her. I hope you're right - that she's lounging on one of Eileen's Bowser beds. The softer & plusher the better!!!

ReplyDeleteOh my, just catching up on news and so very sad to hear that granny/great-granny Bree has left this earthly plane. Shandy and her 12 wonderful kids continue your legacy and proud connections back to Gardenway kennels, Jackie Perkins being a friend of ours. Sympathies to all who miss her - I'm sure Nova will have greeted her enthusiastically - for sure she's amongst the best of friends now xxx
